Micro-Nano Bubbles Conditioning Treatment of Contaminated Sediment for Efficient Reduction: Dehydration Characteristic and Mechanism

The reduction and dehydration treatment of contaminated sediment from rivers lakes is a prerequisite for ensuring the subsequent safe disposal. In this study, micro-nano bubbles (MBs) technology was creatively proposed conditioning to improve its sedimentation performance. Orthogonal experiment single factor were conducted optimize factors such as bubble size, intake air volume time. effect analyzed through direct indirect characterization parameters. results showed that range (R) values time 101.8, 94.5 51.6 respectively in orthogonal analysis. optimum 1 μm, 30 L/min 90 s. At time, CST conditioned decreased 160.6 s (the rate 89.29%) moisture content filter cake 65.2%. Through analysis polysaccharide MLSS, it found MBs effectively exerted oxidation extracellular polymer cracking properties, which released polysaccharides easily bind water. SEM loose structure rich porosity compared undisturbed sediment. Meanwhile, promoted homogenization degree conditioners achieve efficient dehydration.
